Meet Tyna

Creative Director & Photographer

Hello! I’m Tyna — I’m a New York native turned southern wife and proud Auntie! I am definitely a creative to the very core. I have dabbled in many sectors of creative business from music, photography, design, and the list goes on. Ever since I was a child, I can recall always being into the arts. While many other children were into things like sports, hanging out with friends, or partying I could always be found indulging in something creative. There are no boundaries or limitations with art which makes it quite an obsession for me.

I met Dave while he worked in an Orlando music store, at that time I was recording and writing music. He was one of the most talented people I met, and we instantly connected. We eventually moved to Atlanta, GA together where I further pursued my photography. Interning with celebrity photographer Derek Blanks. Getting to work alongside my favorite photographers at the time while learning, creating set designs for his videos, winning many competitions amongst my peers and meeting some of the best, and most talented people in this business, that would become lifelong friends was one of the best times of my life.

Dave and I eventually purchased our first property here in Georgia, a definite fixer-upper but we readily accepted the challenge! We’re excited to have you along with us on this journey of renovations, DIYs, photography, travel, and so much more at Project 1826.

Meet Dave

Designer & multidisciplinary artist

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio I grew up as a curious and artistic child. Enrolling in every art class available since I entering kindergarten, I was already preparing for a life of creativity without even realizing. My love for music was stronger than any other art form and it motivated me to attend and graduate from Full Sail University, the premier school for creatives — most notably, those interested in Audio.

While living in Orlando shortly after graduation, I took a job at Sam Ash selling audio equipment, where I met Tyna and we immediately hit it off. Loving our commonality and motivated by her passion for her craft, we’d spend most of our days and nights together, eventually moving to Atlanta, Georgia together and getting married. While my wife honed her photography abilities, I focused on my own artistic prowess — music, painting, and even branching out into woodworking. Once we bought our home in May of 2017, it was time to really get to work. We began working towards a complete DIY renovation and decided to document it, thus beginning Project 1826.
